When A Red Thread suggested supporting AAAJ for this month’s charity, I have to admit that I was sorely ignorant about how dire the situation for Asian Americans had become. However, after reading about the charity and learning more about the shocking acts of hatred directed towards people of Asian descent living in America, I realized the pressing importance of supporting this cause. Since then, even more acts of violence and murder have been perpetrated and the necessity to act now and raise our collective voices against hate becomes clearer every day.
