All proceeds for December 2023 went to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund's (PCRF) Pediatric Cancer Department, the only one in Gaza. On November 5th, the Rantisi Specialized Pediatric Hospital, where it is located, was targeted by an Israeli airstrike and severely damaged. For the hundreds of children who receive free oncology treatment there annually, it is the only option that doesn't involve the difficult or impossible task of traveling outside the Gaza Strip. (On a personal note, my own child's pediatric oncology journey begin around the same time as the Israeli bombardment and invasion of Gaza. Thank you to Ari and Dustin for being willing to run this campaign, which hits particularly close to home.)

The collaborative debut of Ari Liloia and Dustin Wong, spawned by a Bandcamp purchase and cultivated through email; editing, layering, subtracting, from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and back again. A recent union, but clear in this production is their depth of shared respect and curiosity for each other’s intricate aural worldbuilding. Guided to the Panoramic Merge features two divergent versions of two tracks, “Ascending Through the Bellscope” and the title track, for a full 23-minute foursome described best by a feeling of moving forward and upward, like “coming out of an interior—or more of an expansion of scale, yet with a similar sensibility of fantasy.” (Journalist: Aso Friedman)

Dustin’s played in guitar duos Onsen and Ecstatic Sunshine, with Baltimore’s PONYTAIL, and more recently collaborated on three albums with Takako Minekawa before relocating to Los Angeles and exploring more with solo improv performance. Ari has been completing a Master's program in Music and Technology at Carnegie Mellon and will soon be relocating to Chicago. He released the album ghost town in 2021.
